The subtle mind

Hello everyone,

Well when it came time to participate in this activity I was finally to grasp on to the activity and focus. I focused on my breathing and enabled myself to only focus on that. The other exercise wanted us to grasp and cling on to who we wanted to give happiness and joy to. I like this activity better because when I got distracted I just had to refocus on my breathing unlike the other exercise where I just. Kept my mind racing. This activity also enabled myself to relax and gain control and see that my mind can shut off from thoughts.

  1. Hello,

I agree with you. This one was much better in terms of effectiveness. It seemed like you could concentrate more because you always have a focal point to return to, which was the breathing. How did you feel about the long moments of silence?

One thing that I do have to say is that this excersice has been very effective with my stress and anxiety.

    Keep up the good work!

  2. I think so many of find that our minds keep racing. That is really intresting to learn, especially since so many of work in the healthcare field. While we are working we have to be on ouir toes at all times. You need to ahve an answer before the question even pops up. I know as mother as well there has be a level of fast thinking in many situations. Although I do appreciate that there are times in both work and at home where the ability to slwo down and look at all of the details of a situation is better. To clear the clutter and think quickly is ideal.
