Unit 8 My favorite exericise

Hello Everyone,

My two favorite exercises were visualization and subtle mind. The sublte mind exercise allowed me to relax and focus on the important but not only for myself but for others. The visualization exercise allowed me to put three great times where I felt happiness, love and great health and incorporate them all together. This exercise was truly my favorite because It enabled me to bring up past happy moments with and individual. The individual is no longer a part of my life but the time we had together was great. That exercise I felt peace and happiness all over and it kind of made me realize that I can create happiness and relieve stress taht I may be holding on to. Both exercises though were fun and interesting and I will continue to do them.

Unit 7 Mindfulness Blog

Hello Everyone,

Mindfulness and meditation has fostered an increase in my psychological and spiritual wellness because it has allowed me to focus more on a daily basis on other aspects that I normally would not focus on. I think of others and wish for the best for them. By meditating on a daily basis I will continue to allow myself to focus on other items that allow me to relieve stress and purify my thoughts. Creating a still mind ultimately creates a great avenue in relieveing stress or issues that I may be holding on to.

One can not lead another where one has not gone himself, to me simply means that if you have not experienced something how can you guide someone else through the situation. If I have clients I most definitely have an obligation to continue to develope my health psychologically, physically and spirituality. By doing this I will enable myself to grow in what I preach. You should not expect others to follow you in having a healthier lifestyle if you are sloppy and unhealthy. Who gets advice from an overweight personal trainer? Implementing psychological and spiritual growth in my personal life I will allow myself to grow mentally and to maintain my overall health.

Unit 6 Loving-Kindness

Hello Everyone,

This exercise was meant to expand our mind and our hearts and it can aid in treating anger and hatred that one might feel towards another. This exercise was interesting but I liked it because it makes you think of others and not yourself. Our focus was to go from personal love to universal loving-kindness. Four sentences had to be repeated for ten minutes but within these ten minutes it enabled me to see that I was opening my heart to a bigger picture. I always wish the best for others but not everyday for ten minutes this makes me fully forgive and even let go of what might be hurting me or who ever has angered me. This was a great exercise and I truly liked it just like I liked the last one.

The subtle mind

Hello everyone,

Well when it came time to participate in this activity I was finally to grasp on to the activity and focus. I focused on my breathing and enabled myself to only focus on that. The other exercise wanted us to grasp and cling on to who we wanted to give happiness and joy to. I like this activity better because when I got distracted I just had to refocus on my breathing unlike the other exercise where I just. Kept my mind racing. This activity also enabled myself to relax and gain control and see that my mind can shut off from thoughts.
